Bio

Jen SchwartzI’ve always loved words.

But just as much as words, I love joy.

My joy can be found in many places, most of which centre around people, community, music, and words. Sunshine is a major bonus.

I am a natural born encourager and (newly discovered) ambivert. Also a retired cheerleading coach.

I enjoy a good cup of tea or glass of wine depending on the time of day and subject of discussion.

My educational background is in English Literature & Religious Studies. (Words & community).

I’ve trained and played with Elephant Academy: an apprenticeship in new media. Once I completed my four month Apprenticeship, I spent the following four months as a Teaching Assistant for the incoming apprenticeship group. I am currently in a Senior Teaching Assistant support role. Elephant Journal has been a great source of inspiration, growth and community for me both personally and professionally.

In addition, I proudly wear the titles of Sorority Sister, Sole Sister, Godmother and Choir Fanatic.

I am so grateful for every step on this journey of WordJoy, and I’m honoured to have you join me.
